The 1.1.1.1 DNS APK is Cloudflare's free app for a faster, more private connection on your phone. It points your DNS at Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 resolver, and it adds WARP, a mode that encrypts your whole connection through Cloudflare's network. Here is the honest bit up front. The app is already free, so a "premium mod" for it does not deliver what those pages claim, and we explain exactly why below.

What is 1.1.1.1 + WARP?

1.1.1.1 is a public DNS resolver run by Cloudflare, Inc., and the app puts it on your device with one tap. Normally your internet provider handles your DNS lookups, which means it can see, log, and sometimes sell the list of sites you visit. This app encrypts those lookups (using DoH and DoT), so that traffic stops leaking to your ISP. WARP goes a step further and encrypts your entire connection over Cloudflare's global network with a modern protocol, which on many networks is also a little faster. The goal is speed and privacy. It is not a tool for switching countries or unblocking streaming libraries.

Three modes explained

So two of the three modes cost nothing. The only paid tier is WARP+ Unlimited, a monthly subscription tied to your Cloudflare account.

Why a "premium / WARP+ mod" makes no sense

This is where most "mod" pages mislead you. WARP+ is switched on at Cloudflare's servers, based on your account and your subscription. A modified APK only changes files on your device. It cannot tell Cloudflare's servers to hand you unlimited routing, because the check happens on their side, not yours. So a "premium mod" ends up in one of two places: it does nothing at all, or it is a fake dressed up to look like an unlock. Either way you are not getting free WARP+ out of it, and that is why we ship the plain, original APK here instead.

The security risk of modded VPN APKs

There is a sharper reason to skip a modded build of a VPN. Every byte you send passes through this app. If someone repacks the APK, they can slip in code that logs or reroutes that traffic, and you would never see it. For a normal game, a dodgy mod costs you a save file. For a privacy tool, it can quietly undo the exact thing you installed it for. Install the original from Cloudflare or the editor-tested file on this page, and steer clear of any "cracked premium" version.

How to get WARP+ for free (the legit ways)

You can pick up WARP+ data without paying, just not through a mod. From time to time Cloudflare hands out bonus WARP+ gigabytes for inviting friends or through promotions inside the app. It comes and goes, with no guarantees, so treat it as a nice extra rather than a permanent unlock. That is the honest route, and it does not put your traffic at risk the way a shady key generator would.

How to download and install

The download is a single APK, roughly 66 MB, and it runs on Android 5.0 and up.
