Car Simulator 2 by OppanaGames is a free-roam driving game set in an open world. You walk out on foot, get into your car, start the engine and drive a living map with traffic lights, other cars, gas stations, a car wash, a repair shop and your own garage. The world is not one street: you can drive the busy city, head out to a quieter village and reach the airport, so long trips actually feel like trips rather than laps of a track.

The cars are based on real models, and each one has a full 360° interior. You can look around the cabin, use the mirrors, flick the indicators, open the doors and start the engine before you pull away, which is closer to sitting in a car than steering an icon. Damage is modelled too, so a hard crash leaves marks you take to the service station.

There is a structure behind the free roam. In career you build up from a first cheap car toward faster ones by taking on jobs, taxi runs and deliveries where you pick up a passenger or parcel and drive it across the map. Beyond career there are street races against other drivers, and a police mode where you chase down cars instead of running jobs. Between those you fuel up at the pump, keep the bodywork clean at the wash and repair damage at the garage, so money constantly flows in and out. You can play single-player free roam on your own, or jump into the online mode and drive alongside real players.
